They can't do it fast enough for me! The sealions just don't belong here. They've just taken over PS. Used to be a harbor seal here and there, no biggy but now it's sealions everywhere. They had a magnum approach but word got out and no good shots were had. I like the $3.00 solution the best. I guess we'll just have to wait till someone gets mauled by one. People think they're cute but in reality they're pretty much akin to grizzlies bears. I got my first taste of them when buying fish in San Francisco. I'd rather swim with the sharks.

Sea lions and seals have always been in the Puget Sound with these numbers since I've been here in 1992. They are a nuisance but not the main problem with the fishing, everyone knows this. I can understand them wanting to get them out of the dam area since a lot of fish are going to be in that area though. They need to keep more of an eye on them though and not kill them from keeping them in those cages a few days without checking them like they did a few years ago though.

I would have to say you haven't been here very long then. Sealions are not native to WA waters. Period, no if ands or buts. If you want to see how many salmon and steelhead they eat make a trip to locks or Bonneville Dam. To illustrate the point while fishing the Columbia now most people use 50# plus line so they can yard in the salmon before a sealion gets the fish. Fishing between Possesion Point and the main land I had four mangled fish personally this year. I saw for the first time this year, sealinons up the Snoqualmie as far as the Pilchuck.
They all need to go back to CA or die. They are not a native specie.

When I lived in an Eskimo village for a summer I had the chance to eat all of our northern delicacies. I would advise against eating it for all except those that fancy themselves, adventurous eaters here. The blubber is just gross and the meat has a very strong fishy flavor.

Hrm, very fatty mammal that spends lots of time in cold water... Anyone know if they taste like whale meat? Perhaps we could collect and sell them to Asian countries in exchange for reduced whaling, then the enviros would drop their lawsuits pretty quick!

I was fishin' the puyallup this last december and I saw two of them swimming as far up as the mouth of clarks creek. I've never seen 'em up that far. They must be gettin' bolder. I've also heard they taste super nasty! Never tasted it myself but from what I hear that's a good thing!

If fishing isn't addicting, than why am I hooked?!
