New U-haul hitch and wiring harness for Outback Options

I put a new hitch and wiring harness on my 2004 Subaru Outback in Dec... then I just now sold the car but kept the hitch and wiring. This should fit any Outback up until possilby 2005?? It may even fit up until 2008. But I can tell you it does not fit the 2009.
