I decided it was time for a bow mount on this thing so I had to build the deck for it. I will do a full mod this winter when the weather is bad but for now I just threw this together for a place to mount the new motor.

Good reminder on PT wood, I plan to use normal lumber and seal it before wrapping it with carpet. The boat is always garaged so I dont think rot should be an issue.

I missed this thread back when you first posted it. I designed and built over the road semi trailers for over thirty years so I can appreciate someone building their own trailer. You my friend build them to last! 3" C Channel is normally used to build boat trailers that haul around $60,000 bass boats 21 feet and longer. If that tubing you used ever lets you down I will certainly be surprized. She might be a little heavy but nobody will ever be able to say you didn't build a sturdy trailer. Great looking job on the project. My hat's off to you.

I really appreciate the "internal combustion engines prohibited" signs, it means that I can fish all day without being bothered by the jetski / wakeboard people and there waves. Just relax and fish on a nice quiet lake.

Thanks for noticing, I started building the trailer for my old reinell tri-hull but decided to scap the project. When I got this boat I made a couple adjustments and finished fabricating the trailer. Its really over kill but it tows like a dream and its nice to know that you can throw a few hundred pounds of gear in the boat on a camping trip and not worry. The trailer is 100% seal welded so it will never rust out from the inside and I ran wire all the way through the tubes with solder/ shrink wrap at the ends so ill never have issues with wiring or lights.

Since owning this boat it has been plagued with minor leaks from a row of bad rivets that hold the floor down to the bottom of the boat. I decided to replace the bad rivets and apply a heavy layer of Coat-It to hopefully seal it up for good. I cant wait to get the boat back on the trailer once this crap dries and start building the new decks. Here are the pics.
