Does anyone know of good spots to fish for crab from the docks in Kitsap county? What kind of bait to use?

The harper dock by southworth is fairly good. But its pretty shallow. Sometimes you can see the bottom from the end of the dock, but if you look real close you can see tons of crabs hanging out. I had a friend up from cali and he was craving crab so we went out there and let 2 pots soak for only about a half hour cause we were crunched for time and in that short soak we got 7 keeper red rocks. We just used canned cat food and popped a couple holes in the top. Ive also seen people crabbing from the illahee dock in bremerton.
I used to go to the boat launch in kingston on a work break and I would see tons of dungeness crabs eating scraps at the launch, but they get fished out really fast once crabbing opens. Also some monster rat fish hangout at that launch too.
