I know its a bit early, but i caught my first winter run steelie on the casacade today... SO if you get a winter run, start posting your pictures here, im hoping to contribute to the thread a bunch. Here he is, 5-6 lb buck on roe.
HAha, yea it was a nice little suprise coho fishin', but i heard theyre getting um daily up there. I might be hitting the Grande Ronde next weekend, its low and clear but chromers are showing in good numbers last few weeks. Maybe ill get a few good days over there.
A group of us scouted a new river. Water was super high. We found a section that looked fishy. BOBBERDOWN! We went 9/14 as a group and I went 5/8. I released 3 downriver fish and 1 that pushed 14 pounds. Great day fishing with some good friends. We were home just in time when the Turkey was being pulled out of the oven.

Damn its looking like its gonna be an AMAZING steelhead year already. Havent ever seen it this good this early, and Jens is killin them too DAMN. Ill add a few more pics from today fishing with kockmandoo and another buddy.
U kno me... i dont go steelheading ANYWHERE without my eggs. Uncured, just borax on coho eggs under float with a bit of pink or red yarn. Fished a hole today right after 3 guys left it, and they were using single eggs and jigs and caught one. I took one cast as they were leaving, hooked a 10 pounder. They turn around and are like what the hell??? they leave and i proceed to catch 6 more. Gotta have the roe. Lol Heres todays pictures, went 2/4 today, water got lower made fishing tougher but still good day!
