Browns Lake, a "fly fishing only" lake is located in the Colville National Forest. There is a well maintained national forest campground on the shore of the lake with recently updated toilets and boat launch. No motors are allowed on the lake making it ideal for canoeing and float tube use. The lake holds both Rainbow and Cutthroat trout that average from 10"-14". In the spring there is often a good Mayfly hatch that offers some great dry fly fishing. The lake level will very greatly from season to season. There is a hiking trail up Browns Cr. that is very scenic. My special thanks to Paul Reece for contributing his music for this video.
