Fishing was good for my wife and I today! We caught these 3 rainbows at Vance Creek Adult lake trolling a Dick nite (you can see it on the rod in the picture). We lost probably 4 or 5 the same size, they really fought hard. The biggest was 8 lb 2 oz. (it is on the top). Trolled the whole lake. we also used a smile blade fly (green smile blade).

Used sunrise colored power eggs. Had a great time fishing with family. Was at the park for about 6 hours, fishing for about 3 of those. Caught one 11 incher on my pole. My brother caught 2 ten invhers. A fun time. It was extremely windy, but that is pretty common for the location.

Been seeing these ponds for years so after hitting the last Razor Clam dig of the season we decided to finally give them a try on the way home. I managed a limit after an hour and a half. Joey only caught one but wouldn't you know it, it was the biggest by about "that much" so no money exchanged hands on this trip. These were all 8" - 9" stockers (just the right size to make a meal for her 90 year old mom) so coupled with the 22 Razor Clams we dug they should eat good for a couple of meals. I did lose one big fish (about 2 lbs.) 10 ft. from the shore. Broke me off just below the knot. Would have been my biggest fish this year! All in all, it was a great way to spend a Saturday.

Wife and I went to the Ocean this weekend, did a tour of the lakes of Gray Harbor Co. while we were out there. Started out here. Got here about 9am, the pond is the color of cardboard - yes, that brown. Spent about an hour there, my wife was fishing off the bottom with pb & worm & I threw all the spinners and spoons I could. Nothing. There was 4 fishing when we got there and we did see a guy c&r 2 or three from the bottom, just inside the buoy line (marking a swimming area I guess).

Fished the regular pond for about 2 hours. The water was very stained, I don't think I have ever fished in water that was that murky before. The place was pretty packed, but only saw 1 fish caught. Saw a few fish jumping and one was a nice size. Had a couple bites on power eggs.
