Found Cow Lake by chance and had my wife and daughter in the truck on a triple digit afternoon, July 11th,2012. Spinner bait from the east end shore caught me four large mouth between a pound and a pound and a half in under an hour with many more surface strikes, and that was at 2 in the afternoon in 102 degree heat! The only reason I didn't stay longer was my pregnant wife and 18 month old daughter were stranded inside the truck with the A/C cranked up. This was just a quick side trip from Spokane to Tri-Cities and I was pleasantly surprised by the quick action in the middle of a HOT afternoon. I'll be back with the fly rod for a morning visit for sure!
