Intro
|
Just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to contributing to Washington Lakes. My name is John Thomas and I grew up in Snohomish, WA. I graduated from Snohomish High School and then played baseball in college at Lower Columbia Community College and then Central Washington University. I am currently a full time elementary PE Teacher in the Lake Stevens School District and a dedicated part time fishing guide.
I pride myself on being an honest fisherman who tells it how it is. Since I am a part time guide, I do not rely on my business to put food on my table and pay the bills. Therefore, my prices are fair and I want each and every trip to the be the best it can be. If water temps are too cold for the fish to bite...I will cancel. If water visibility is poor...I will cancel. If the fish have not showed up yet...I will cancel or I will at least give you an honest report about how the fishing has been lately...good or bad.
I operate a 20' Alumaweld Super V LT with a 150 Mercury and I also row a custom 16' Cataraft with a full diamond plate floor. If you have not fished from a cataraft before come check it out as there is more room then a drift boat and the overall visibility from the boat is awesome.
I guide the following fisheries: Skykomish Winter Steelhead, Cowlitz Winter Steelhead, Wynoochee Winter Steelhead, Columbia and Cowlitz Spring Chinook, Lake Stevens Kokanee, Skykomish Summer Chinook and Steelhead, Snohomish System Humpies/Coho/Chum, Columbia Fall Chinook
I also run combo camping/fishing trips where all the gear is provided and these trips are a true outdoor experience. I promise to work hard to put you on the fish and I look forward to meeting some of you Washington Lakers!
